Graded Examples
The following slideshows show graded examples of past student work. These are for reference ONLY. Not to copy. Copying or as it is also known 'plagiarism' is wrong and claiming someones work as your own could result in you being failed in not only this GCSE but all of your others.
A Grade
Reason for grade: A detailed portfolio. A range of imaginative design ideas using a variety of different methods. Development well documented with annotation and photographs.
Final product was to a high standard. The final solution satisfies the brief and is evaluated/tested well against the brief and specification. Communication and presentation is to a high standard of finish.

B Grade
Reason for grade: A well presented portfolio. Good understanding of the brief through research. Imaginative ideas which show a degree of creativity. Development is documented with annotation and photographs, in most parts.
Final manufactured outcome is to a good standard. The solution satisfies the brief and is evaluated/tested against most aspects of the brief and specification. Communication and presentation is to a good standard of finish, with minimum spelling/grammar errors.

C Grade
Reason for grade: Basic understanding of the brief through research, however this may be limited in parts. Design ideas show a certain degree of creativity, however these are limited and undeveloped in parts. Development is adequate but lacks detail and annotation explanation.
Final manufactured outcome is to a good standard but the outcome requires further development for it to be suitable for the chosen target market. The solution satisfies some aspects of the brief and is evaluated/tested against against some of the brief and specification. Aspects of the coursework is missing or incomplete, which limits the marks awarded. Communication and presentation is to a good standard of finish, with some spelling/grammar errors. Work appears untidy and isn't in a logical order.
